Soil Sampling
DrillPro Services, Incorporated has various techniques available for soil sampling. Our standard is using 1 ¾" rods (heavy duty) to push the standard 4' macrocore sampler lined with acetate sleeves. It is a very dependable method and is used in 90% of our probing work.
The other method available is the dual wall drilling system. We push an outer rod of 2 1/8" diameter and an inner rod of 1" diameter into the ground as a single unit. When we retract our inner rod and the 4' acetate sleeve, the 2 1/8" rod stays in the hole and acts as a casing. This method is very effective for flowing sands and other uncooperative sites.
