Augering and Hydraulic Push Probing
DrillPro Services, Incorporated, has three rigs capable of probing. Our main rig is the Hurricane with does both augering and probing. The other rig is also a truck mounted unit but does probing only. These two rigs both have winches, which allow us to pull 12' of rod at a time significantly speeding up our drilling process. They are both very powerful and can probe to virtually unlimited depths depending on lithology. We have been as deep as 80' before encountering bedrock.
Our third rig is a much smaller unit. The 540M manufactured by Geoprobe, allows us to probe inside buildings and other tight areas. It is only 35" wide and can fit through a normal sized doorway. It is also extremely powerful for a small unit. It has a detached power unit that can either be wheeled behind the probe or kept on the trailer. We can also pull this unit with an ATV if necessary to get into rough areas.
